Spec S1 · The rate card · Services & packages

Two weeks from today, your whole grid looks like one brand.

Three ways to shoot it, three box sizes, one invoice from $350 to $1,400. Below is every package, every bolt-on, and every box-in date — specs marked, prices printed — so you walk into the call already knowing your column.

Built around
  • Etsy shops
  • Wheel-thrown ceramics
  • Cold-process soap
  • Indie serums & balms

Every package includes glaze-true retouching and files named by SKU — the stuff that saves you an evening of renaming.

Spec S2 · The shot types

Three ways we light a product

Every package mixes these three. What changes between tiers is how many frames you get — and whether we build a full lifestyle set around your stuff.

  1. A speckled stoneware mug on a seamless white sweep, lit softly with a gentle contact shadow.

    White-sweep e-comm

The listing workhorse. Your product alone on seamless white, shadow kept soft so it still sits on something real.

    • Front, back, ¾ and detail angles per SKU
    • 2000 px squares that pass Etsy’s first-photo crop
    • Background cleaned to an even, true white

    In every package · A · B · C

  2. An amber serum dropper and a lilac ceramic dish styled on linen and stone against a violet backdrop under a hard key light.

    Styled lifestyle

Your serum at 7am, your mug mid-pour. A set built in your brand palette so the photo looks like your shop, not ours.

    • Backdrop, plinths and surfaces matched to your hex codes
    • Props from our shelf — linen, stone, dried botanicals
    • Cropped 4:5 for the feed and 16:9 for banners

    Tier B · 1 set  /  Tier C · 2 sets

  3. Top-down flat-lay of violet and magenta swirled soap bars, kraft wrappers and dried petals arranged on a grid.

    Top-down flat-lay

The whole collection, from directly above. Great for gift sets, scent lineups and “here’s everything in the drop” posts.

    • Grid, scatter or ingredient-story arrangements
    • Your real packaging, tissue and stickers in frame
    • Square and 4:5 crops from the same setup

    In every package · A · B · C

Spec S3 · Side by side

The three packages, spec for spec

Same studio, same light, same retouching standard. What changes is the size of the box, how many sets we build, and how fast your gallery lands.

Spec S4 · Set recipes

Glaze, lather, amber glass — each lit its own way

Ceramics, soap and skincare each break a camera differently. These are the setups we reach for first, and they get written into your shot list so next season’s reshoot lines up with this one.

Recipe 01 · Ceramics

Stoneware & porcelain

Gloss glazes mirror every lamp in the room, and speckle vanishes under flat light.

Key
One large softbox raked at 45°, flagged in black so the glaze shows one clean highlight instead of five.
Modifier
Circular polarizer to tame hotspots; black cards for edge definition on white clay.
Backdrop
Warm-grey sweep or a plaster slab that won’t fight the glaze.
Retouch
Glaze color matched to the actual piece. Pinholes and kiln marks stay when they’re part of the charm.
Usually books · Shelf & Story, $785 See the column
Recipe 02 · Bath

Cold-process soap & bath

Swirls go flat, white bars blow out, and crumbs end up in every frame.

Key
Hard light skimming low across the cut face to lift the swirl and the texture of the top.
Modifier
A small mirror to bounce a glint into the cut; a grey card to hold detail in white bars.
Backdrop
Stone, end-grain wood or kraft — whatever your wrappers already use.
Retouch
Crumbs and lint cleaned. Soda ash stays if every bar in the batch has it — buyers should get what they see.
Usually books · Flat-Lay Run, $350 See the column
Recipe 03 · Skincare

Serums, oils & balms

Amber glass goes muddy, labels catch glare, and droppers start looking like plastic.

Key
Backlight through a diffusion panel so the liquid actually glows.
Modifier
Strip lights for clean edge highlights down the bottle; a flag to kill glare across the label.
Backdrop
A gradient sweep in your brand hue, or stone and linen for the balm tins.
Retouch
Labels straightened, glare cleaned, oil color matched to the sample you sent.
Usually books · Full Launch, $1,400 See the column
Recipe 04 · Etsy goods

Jewelry, candles & paper

Tiny details, fiber texture and metal that reflects the whole studio.

Key
Soft overhead for the base, plus one hard accent for sparkle on metal and wax.
Modifier
100mm macro with focus stacking, so a ring is sharp from stone to shank.
Backdrop
Linen, stone, or your own packaging — the box is part of the product.
Retouch
Stacked frames blended, dust picked off by hand, textile and paper color matched.
Usually books · Flat-Lay Run, $350 See the column

Add-ons land on the same invoice

There’s no cart and no checkout. Pick a package on the call, add extras there or straight from your proof gallery, and it all arrives as one invoice. Here’s what a real one could look like.
